Solicitation Summary

Metro is approximately a thirty-one (31) track mile third rail system that provides service from Owings Mills to Johns Hopkins Hospital. Metro has fourteen (14) stations, approximately forty-six (46) mainline switches, fourteen (14) miles of tunnel direct fixation, five (5) miles of direct fixation aerial structure, and twelve (12) miles of ballasted track.

Light Rail is a forty-seven (47) track mile catenary system that provides service from Hunt Valley to Cromwell with spurs serving Thurgood Marshall Baltimore Washington International Airport and Penn Station. Light Rail has thirty-three (33) stations, forty-three (43) grade crossing, approximately two (2) miles of at grade shared right-of-way, approximately eighty-four (84) mainline switches and approximately forty (40) miles of ballasted track .
