902772 Foam Fire Suppression System Inspections, Maintenance and Repair Services

It is the intent of these specifications, terms, and conditions to describe as-needed Foam Fire Suppression System Inspections, Maintenance, and Repair Services at the Alameda County Household Hazardous Waste collection facility located at 2100 E. 7th St. in Oakland being requested by the County.

The County intends to award a three (3) year contract (with the option to renew for two [2] years) to the Bidder selected as the most responsive and responsible Bidder whose response conforms to the RFP and meets the County’s requirements.

These specifications, terms, and conditions are to procure the most environmentally preferable products with equivalent or higher performance and at an equal or lower cost than traditional products. Specific requirements from the County’s Sustainability Program related to this RFP are included in the appropriate sections.

The Alameda County General Services Agency – Building Maintenance Department (GSA-BMD) is tasked with the essential responsibility of overseeing the maintenance, repair, and operational upkeep of a vast array of facilities. With a remarkable portfolio that includes over 182 buildings—ranging from administrative offices and courthouses to youth centers, veterans memorial halls, parking structures, and detention facilities, the department services a collective area of approximately 8.1 million square feet. This extensive coverage reflects GSA-BMD’s dedication to ensuring that each facility remains not only functional but also conducive to the needs of the community, providing a safe and welcoming environment for employees, residents, and visitors alike. Their efforts encompass everything from routine maintenance tasks to urgent and emergency repairs and replacements, demonstrating a commitment to excellence in public service and facility management.

The County is seeking a Contractor to perform routine maintenance, testing, inspection, and as-needed repair services for the Foam Fire Suppression System facility located at 2100 E. 7th St. in Oakland. Contractor must service the equipment to keep it functioning as per its intended purpose in a safe and continually usable condition.
