Project Overview
Holland Parks & Recreation is seeking a qualified firm with a proven track record of creating successful website campaigns to design, develop, and host a new website for the organization. The web design should reflect the following:
-
The diverse responsibilities of Holland Parks & Recreation and how those responsibilities affect the lives of city residents.
-
An ability to adapt with a department that is in a period of immense growth. Annually, we are improving parks, adding additional programming opportunities, and otherwise expanding the overall scope of work performed within our department.
-
Our brand, which we continue to hone, and the development of which has been a focus of the department for several years. The new website should reflect our department aesthetic, finding harmony with the City of Holland brand standards, the natural elements so much of our work revolves around, and the unique aspects of our department culture.
Project Scope and Deliverables Holland Parks & Recreation requires the development, and hosting of a new website that will serve as a resource to visitors and residents.
The website must be fully accessible to those with disabilities and able to be translated into multiple languages using Google translate. The site must be mobile responsive and designed to maximize SEO potential.
The website must be developed with a user-friendly content management system that allows staff to edit all webpages on a regular basis. The website must also integrate with MailChimp for newsletter sign-up capabilities, SimpleTix, Square, and Teamsideline for registration processing.
Requested capabilities of the new site include, but are not limited to video imbedding, a general site search function, and a program specific search function.
Firms should familiarize themselves with the current site plan of the Holland Parks & Recreation website. The selected firm will work closely with Holland Parks & Recreation staff to review the current sites and discuss current challenges and necessary areas of improvement with the new sites.
