Description

DESCRIPTION

1. Purpose:

The purpose of this Sources Sought / Request for Information (RFI) is to conduct market research to determine local vendor capability and identify potential sources for a Remote Generator Monitoring System. This system is designed to provide comprehensive monitoring of generator performance, including run-time hours, without requiring Internet connectivity. The system is self-contained and operates independently, ensuring data security and accessibility even in remote locations. Data is stored locally, and a customized procedure is included to allow easy retrieval of information directly to a laptop for analysis and reporting without the need for additional proprietary software. This avoids the complexities and potential vulnerabilities associated with cloud-based solutions. This market research is being conducted in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 10.

1.1. This Sources Sought / RFI will be utilized for planning purposes to determine if responsible sources exist and to assist in determining if future efforts can be solicited on a competitive basis. This Sources Sought / RFI is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or award a contract.

1.2. PLEASE NOTE - No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this request or any follow-up information requests. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS SOURCES SOUGHT / RFI.

2. Requirement:

The Government is seeking information on a Remote Generator Monitoring System with the following critical performance characteristics:

  • Ability to store logged data locally and download data by connecting to a laptop via cable (i.e., no cellular/internet network connection, no ethernet cables).

  • No annual subscription/renewal fees for data storage or cellular connectivity.

  • Discrete alarm inputs.

  • Analog inputs.

  • Control relays.

  • Serial port.

  • Alert speakers and LCD display.

3. Information Requested:

Respondents are requested to provide the following information:

  • Assessment of Commercial Availability: Provide an assessment as to whether the requirements are military unique or can be acquired to some degree in the commercial market sector.

  • Critical and Long Lead Schedule Items: Identify, as appropriate, any critical and long lead schedule items which will impact contract performance and delivery requirements.
