Town of Westport Highway Solar Array System Installation

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the Undersigned, on behalf of the Town of Westport Town Clerk, will accept sealed bids at the Town of Westport Town Hall until 3:00 PM on August 26, 2025, for the design, procurement, and installation of a ground mounted solar array system to be installed at the Town of Westport Department of Public Works Highway Garage, located at 245 NYS RTE 22, Westport, NY 12993. The bid must include a full set of plans, specifications sheets for all components that make up packaged Photovoltaic Systems, as well as the purchase, delivery and installation of the system.

This is a NYSERDA Clean Energy Communities Program Project and must follow all NYSERDA and NY-Sun program requirements.

The bids shall be opened and read aloud on August 26, 2025, at 3:00 PM at the Town of Westport, Town Hall, 22 Champlain Ave., Westport, NY 12993. Project Scope:

The Town of Westport is the recipient of a NYSERDA Clean Energy Communities Program Grant, contract agreement #23834, in the amount of $100,000.00 for the installation of a 30kW solar array at 245 NYS Rte 22, Westport, NY, 12993.

The Town of Westport is seeking bids for the design, procurement, and installation of a ground mounted solar array system to be installed at the Town of Westport Department of Public Works Highway Garage, located at the above address. Bids must include a full set of plans, specifications sheets for all components that make up packaged Photovoltaic Systems, as well as the purchase, delivery and installation of the system. The Bidder must follow all NYSERDA guidelines as stated in the grant agreement.

The system installation will include all required engineering design, permits, materials, labor, equipment, framing, support, and expertise, under the requirements to install for a customer interconnect to the National Grid utility and commission system for use under the NYSERDA Clean Energy Communities Program.

This is a NYSERDA Clean Energy Communities Program Project and must follow all NYSERDA and NY-Sun program requirements. All design and installation services shall be performed by staff who are working under the direct supervision of an employee who is certified as a “PV Installation Professional” by the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP). All installation services shall be performed by companies who appear on the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority’s (NYSERDA) list of Commercial/Industrial Solar Electric installers located at: https://www.nyserda.ny.gov/All-Programs/Programs/NY-Sun/Customers/Guide-toEvaluate-and-Install-Solar/Commercial-Installer. All electrical work shall be performed in accordance with the jurisdiction’s laws, codes and standards regarding where the work is being performed.
