Special Education, Intervention, and Disability Contracted Services

Project Description: The intent of this solicitation is to establish a pool of qualified and experienced vendors to provide Special Education, Intervention, and Disability Support Services to students throughout the HCISD. Services may be provided on an as-needed basis to support the District's educational programs and to ensure compliance with applicable federal and state laws, regulations, and individualized student plans.
Contracted services may include, but are not limited to, educational evaluations, psychological services, speech-language pathology, occupational therapy, physical therapy, behavioral and intervention services, counseling, vision and hearing services, adaptive physical education, nursing services, sign language interpretation, assistive technology support, transition services, homebound instruction, specialized instructional support, and other related services for students with disabilities.
The District seeks qualified providers who can deliver services in accordance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), Section 504 Plans, Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), and other student-specific educational requirements. Services may be provided in person or through a hybrid model, as approved by the Executive Director of Special Education.
The resulting contract(s) will allow the District to engage vendors on an as-needed basis to supplement existing staff, address staffing shortages, provide specialized expertise, and ensure students receive appropriate educational and support services necessary to access and benefit from their educational programs.
