Project Description: The Ministry of Highways (Ministry) is planning the construction of a surfacing structure on Highway No. 368 from 6.48 km south of its intersection with Barbier Drive to 3.24 km south of its intersection with Barbier Drive, and from 0.26 km north of its intersection with Barbier Drive to its junction with Highway No. 41; for a total distance of 26.92 km.

This project includes notching and widening of the roadway, placement of sub-base, granular base, and asphalt concrete surfacing, along with associated earthworks. Major components include the removal and environmentally responsible disposal of existing culverts, including a large, framed timber (wood box) culvert, and the installation and extension of new culverts, including two “sleeved” extensions. Earth materials will be obtained from deep-type borrow pits where required. Additional activities include aggregate processing and hauling, traffic accommodation, environmental protection measures, and erosion and sediment control.

The work (contract H26039) is anticipated to be tendered in June 2026 with crushing and culverts anticipated in the 2026 fiscal year and construction anticipated for May 2027.
