Project Description:
ONE (1) 5 passenger truck, new, 2026 or later with the attached specifications.
Bidders must complete and return the attached “PACRC TRUCK SPECIFICATION 3.16.26” to Kris
Aoki (krisaoki@hawaii.edu) upon submission of their quote.
Special Instructions
1. Include all taxes, shipping, and all other applicable charges (no other charges outside
your bid will be allowed) for delivery to UH Hilo.
2. Review all attachments prior to submitting a quote.
3. Bidders must complete and return the attached “PACRC TRUCK SPECIFICATIONS 3.16.26” to
Kris Aoki (krisaoki@hawaii.edu) upon submission of their quote.
4. Purchaser reserves the right to determine equivalency.
5. Vendors must furnish proof of compliance with the requirements of 103D-310(c) HRS by
presenting a certificate of vendor compliance obtained via Hawaii Compliance Express.
Vendor’s current status MUST be listed as “COMPLIANT” by the closing date of the bid and
through the issuance of the purchase order.
6. CERTIFICATES REQUIRED
Prior to delivery, the Contractor shall obtain the following and deliver to the University
together with the vehicle:
a. Hawaii Safety Inspection Certificate (in duplicate) and decal, if applicable;
b. Motor Vehicle Registration Certificate (completed and signed); and
c. Odometer Certificate.
7. STATE LICENSE FOR SELLING MOTOR VEHICLES
Chapter 437, Hawaii Revised Statutes, provides for regulating and licensing of motor
vehicle manufacturers and distributors, and their branches and representatives, motor
vehicle dealers, salesmen, auctions and auctioneers and any other persons engaged in the
business of selling or purchasing motor vehicles in the State of Hawaii; therefore, all
prospective bidders who are interested in selling motor vehicles to the University of
Hawaii shall provide proof that they do meet and satisfy the licensing requirement set
forth in said statute by listing the license number in the space provided on the bid form.
“Motor vehicle” includes any vehicle, motor vehicle, or truck as defined in Sections
249a-1 and 240a-2, HRS, except for tractors, trailer, and amphibious vehicles.
8. Delivery of vehicle shall be made within one hundred twenty (120) consecutive calendar
days from the date of issuance of the purchase order.
