Iredell County Lawn Care Services

Iredell County is requesting grounds maintenance services for County properties consisting of both non-park and park facilities, including mowing, edging, trimming, debris management, leaf removal, and weed control.

Bids could be awarded per zone or entire contract based on Iredell County evaluations and price. Turf areas should be mowed every 6-10 days during the growth season (mid-February to early December), with a minimum grass height of 3.5 inches in spring and 4 inches during summer. Mowing equipment must be suitable for hills, berms, and small areas.

During drought periods, lawn areas will be mowed as needed. Clippings should be left on the lawn unless visible clumps remain for 24 hours, in which case they must be collected and removed. Edging will be performed on sidewalks, fences, driveways, and parking lots, and all paved areas bordered by grass must be maintained. Additionally, weed control will be applied to beds, sidewalks, and parking lots as needed, and mono filament line trimmers should not be used around trees and shrubs to avoid injury. Clippings and debris must be blown off hard surfaces, including under benches and bleachers, and large debris will be removed at an additional cost.
