Description

THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY. This RFI is issued solely for

information and planning purposes – it does not constitute as a Request for Quote (RFQ) or a

promise to issue an RFQ in the future. This request for information does not commit the

Government to contract for any supply or service whatsoever. Further, the Government is not at

this time seeking quotations and will not accept unsolicited offers. Interested vendors are advised

that the Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in

response to this RFI. All costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the

interested party’s expense.

The 7th Contracting Squadron (7 CONS) is conducting market research to identify potential

Small Business contractors that may possess the expertise, capabilities, and authorization to rent

Digger Derrick and Bucket Truck equipment.



7 LRS is requiring leasing of one (1) Digger Derrick Truck for four (4) months or 120 calendar days. This vehicle is required to maintain and place power poles, transformers, and the electrican grid on Dyess.

Digger Derrick Truck must have the following specifications:

· The Contractor shall ensure the requested Digger Derrick meets all agencies required standards to include DOT (Department of Transportation), OSHA (Occupational Safety & Health Administration), and ANSI/SIA (American National Standard Institute/Scaffold Industry Association) prior to delivery.

· The Contractor shall ensure the Digger Derrick Dielectric Testing has been completed in accordance with OSHA and ANSI/SIA requirements as well as standard with at least 6 months remaining before retesting is required.

· The Contractor shall ensure testing was completed by a certified shop and/or person.

· The Contractor shall have documented proof of testing and present results upon delivery and when requested.

· The Contractor shall provide and deliver requested Digger Derrick with the following specifications.

· Working Sheave Height -45'- 50'

· 5- Function Hydraulic Overload Protection System (HOP)

· Hydraulic Side load Protection (HSLP) with Load Sense

· Boom Stow Protection System

· 24” of Vertical Platform Lift

· Full Capacity Fiberglass Upper Boom

· Fiberglass Boom Tip and Transferable Steel Boom Flares

· Insulating 3rd Stage, Rated to 46kV and Below

· Hydraulic Tilting Pole Guides with Pole Guide Interlock

· Outrigger Boom Interlock System

· Operator Main Control Panel with Multi-Lever Controls

· Emergency Stop Switch on Main Control Panel(s)

· Continuous Rotation

· Digger Radius (min - max) 16.7 ft - 25.7 ft

· Boom Articulation -20 to 80 degrees

· Maximum Lift Capacity 16,035lbs (at 10ft)

· Intermediate Boom Extension 8.9 ft

· Upper Boom Extension 8 ft

· Maximum Lift Capacity 30,000 lbs

· Model Year and Mileage. The vehicle supplied under this contract must be model year 2000 or newer and shall not exceed a maximum of 25,000 Kilometers when submitted for acceptance.

· Heating and Air Conditioning. All vehicles provided shall have operating Heating and Air Conditioning.
