RFI 08001-2024 Bachelors Degree Completion Program at San Quentin Rehabilitation Center (SQRC)

This Request for Information (RFI) seeks to gather information from potential providers (Respondent(s)) of a bachelor¿s degree completion program for incarcerated students (students) at SQRC, regarding the Respondents¿ capacity and capability to meet the program and student needs. The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR), intends to select no more than two Respondents for SQRC
Pursuant to California Penal Code Section 2053.3, the CDCR enters into partnerships with colleges and universities to provide college education programs for incarcerated students. Every CDCR institution offers associate degree programs for incarcerated students. To enable students¿ continual progression toward further academic goals, CDCR also partners with college and universities for bachelor¿s degree completion programs in certain CDCR institutions. These partnerships enable academically qualified students to earn a bachelor¿s degree with parity of services, supports, and academic rigor as are provided to students outside of CDCR.
