5P468-24-0230/B         Stage 2 Sinclair Watermain Repair, Kootenay National Park

REQUIREMENT

Parks Canada requires a contractor to complete replacement or repair of a 150mm – 200mm diameter segment of either cast-iron or ductile iron watermain (existing pipe type presently unknown). The section of watermain to be repaired or replaced is located along Hwy 93S approximately 5 km North of Radium Hot Springs in the Sinclair Canyon. Scope of work includes but is not limited to: traffic accommodation, installation of valves (hot-tapped or traditional) and an above ground potable water bypass, watermain excavation, asphalt saw-cut, asphalt removal and disposal, removal and replacement of existing watermain with PVC (via open cut) or HDPE (via pipe bursting), reconnecting new watermain to existing watermain, reinstatement of disturbed areas (roadway, shoulder, etc.), and all watermain/bypass commissioning activities (pressure testing, flushing, chlorinating, sampling, etc.) prior to use. The repair/replacement section has the potential to be anywhere from 45m to 500m.

TWO STAGE SELECTION PROCESS

This posting is the Stage Two of a two-stage solicitation process: the first stage was to evaluate the qualifications of all interested suppliers. The second stage (Stage Two) is to invite the qualified suppliers to provide a financial bid on the project based on the specifications and drawings.
