The SOW for this demolition activity is for the hazardous materials abatement, demolition, cleanup, and final site grading to taking place at George D. Lewis School, located at 21 Kent Street, Louisbourg, NS. There were multiple hazardous materials identified throughout the building, which will need to be fully quantified and removed before demolition of the structure takes place.
The contractor is responsible for all phases of the demolition including, but not limited to, securing the site prior to demolition, setup of moveable, rigid fencing, , removal and abatement of all hazardous materials in proper fashion, the actual demolition, dust control during the Work, clean-up after the demolition has been completed, removal and proper disposition of the remaining non-hazardous contents of the building, as well as being responsible for final site grading to level the area post demolition.
