Ebster Park Outdoor Teen Area Project

The City of Decatur will receive bids for the EBSTER OUTDOOR TEEN AREA
PROJECT until 10:00am on Friday, April 10th, 2026, in the City Manager¿s Office at
Decatur City Hall, 2
nd Floor, 509 North McDonough Street, Decatur, Georgia 30030, at which
time and place all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. The work includes selective
demolition, removal of existing pavilion/bathrooms, playground, basketball courts, install of,
new restrooms and pavilion, basketball courts, playground, green infrastructure for stormwater
treatment, hardscape improvements, and landscaping. The new structures will require
electrical, water, wastewater, and stormwater utility connections. The project also includes soil
erosion and sedimentation control, and traffic control as required for project construction.
Bids are to be submitted on a proper form furnished by the City and shall be addressed to
the City Manager, City Hall, Decatur, Georgia, sealed, dated and enclosed in an envelope
appropriately marked on the outside "Proposal for EBSTER OUTDOOR TEEN AREA
PROJECT¿, marked with the name of the bidder and date and hour of opening, and
mailed or delivered to reach the designated office on or before the above stipulated date
and time.
A mandatory pre-bid conference is scheduled for March 24th, 2026 at 10am , beginning at
Ebster Recreation Center and then moving to Ebster Park for those interested. Bidders must
attend this briefing session for their submittal to be considered. Any questions regarding bids
and/or misunderstandings that may arise from this proposal should be submitted, in writing,
and should be directed to Kim Whatley, Facilities and Operations Manager, no later than
April 2nd, 2026 at 5pm.
