Description

The current Campus Master Plan for MRU’s Lincoln Park was finalized in July 2016. Having
served the university well, the plan needs to evolve into a 30 to 50-year vision of the
campus in the form of a Long-Range Development Plan (LRDP).
The plans evaluation must consider broader external stakeholder engagement, the
increasing urbanization of campus driven by city growth and adjacent developments, and
the social and economic shifts that are now reflected in MRU’s strategic plan, such as
transversal skills and work-integrated learning, EDIA, Indigeneity, being an employer of
choice, and supporting impactful research. Additional LRDP drivers include energy use,
health and mental wellness, and open space and landscape plans.
