SCOPE
1. COORDINATE REMOVAL OF EXISTING DOCK LEVELERS WITH VENDOR.
SHORTEN EXISTING DOCK LEVELER PITS LOCATED AT DOCKS 3 AND 4.
CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE INSTALLATION OF DOCK LEVELERS
AND ASSOCIATED EQUIPMENT.
2. DEMOLISH FLOOR SLAB AT DOCKS 2 AND 5 TO ALLOW FOR PLACEMENT OF
NEW DOCK LEVELER PITS. SCAN FOR EXISTING CONDUIT BEFORE
DEMOLITION.
3. CUT A TRENCH IN THE CONCRETE SLAB ON GRADE FROM THE JUNCTION
BOX TO THE DOCK LEVELER PITS TO ROUTE CONDUIT FOR OPERATION OF
NEW DOCK LEVELERS. SCAN FOR EXISTING CONDUIT BEFORE DEMOLITION.
4. REMOVE AND REPLACE EXISTING BUMPERS.
5. INSTALL (4) NEW DOCK LEVELERS PER MANUFACTURER INSTRUCTIONS.

DATE IS INDICATED. REFERENCE TO A SPECIFIC SECTION IN A CODE DOES NOT
RELIEVE THE CONTRACTOR FROM COMPLIANCE WITH THE ENTIRE STANDARD.
SITE VERIFICATION:
THESE DRAWINGS INDICATE GENERAL AND TYPICAL DETAILS OF CONSTRUCTION.
WHERE CONDITIONS ARE NOT SPECIFICALLY SHOWN, SIMILAR DETAILS OF
CONSTRUCTION SHALL BE USED, SUBJECT TO THE REVIEW AND APPROVAL OF THE

GENERAL CONTRACTOR NOTES:

THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE TEMPORARY BRACING AND SHORING
REQUIRED FOR INSTALLATION OF ALL COMPONENTS OF THE CONTRACT. THE

METHODS, TECHNIQUES, AND SEQUENCES OF PROCEDURES REQUIRED TO

PRIOR TO FABRICATION.

CONCRETE EXPANSION ANCHORS SHALL BE HILTI KWIK BOLT TZ2 ESR-4266 OR

DRILLING SHALL BE PERFORMED WITH A ROTARY HAMMER DRILL AND CARBIDE TIPPED
DRILL BIT IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS AND THE
APPLICABLE ICC EVALUATION REPORT.
BORE HOLE CLEANING PROCEDURES MUST COMPLY WITH THE MANUFACTURER'S
INSTRUCTIONS AND THE APPLICABLE ICC EVALUATION REPORT IN ORDER TO PRODUCE
A DRY, DUST-FREE HOLE.
EPOXY ANCHORS AND DOWELS:
DRILLED-IN EPOXY DOWELS SHALL BE STEEL REINFORCEMENT AND EMBEDMENT PER
THE STRUCTURAL DRAWINGS. HOLE DRILLING, EPOXY INJECTION, AND DOWEL
