SCOPE OF WORK OVERVIEW:
1. INSTALL TWO REPLACEMENT AND TWO NEW MOTOR OPERATED
LOADING DOCK LEVELERS. NEW PITS WILL BE CONSTRUCTED FOR
NEW LOADING DOCK LEVELERS.
2. INSTALL NEW DOCK LEVELERS AND ASSOCIATED CONTROL
PANELS AND DISCONNECTS. DOCK LEVELERS AND CONTROL
PANELS WILL BE PROCURED BY CONTRACTOR. THE DOCK
LEVELER BASIS OF DESIGN IS THE SERCO HFC8740-20 WITH
OPTIONAL 20" LIP, ENERGY GUARD WEATHERSEAL SYSTEM, AND
VB620-11 BUMPERS.
3. INSTALL POWER AND CONTROL WIRING FOR THE NEW LOADING
DOCK LEVELERS.

SHORTEN EXISTING DOCK LEVELER PITS LOCATED AT DOCKS 3 AND 4.
CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE INSTALLATION OF DOCK LEVELERS
AND ASSOCIATED EQUIPMENT.
2. DEMOLISH FLOOR SLAB AT DOCKS 2 AND 5 TO ALLOW FOR PLACEMENT OF
NEW DOCK LEVELER PITS. SCAN FOR EXISTING CONDUIT BEFORE
DEMOLITION.
3. CUT A TRENCH IN THE CONCRETE SLAB ON GRADE FROM THE JUNCTION
BOX TO THE DOCK LEVELER PITS TO ROUTE CONDUIT FOR OPERATION OF
NEW DOCK LEVELERS. SCAN FOR EXISTING CONDUIT BEFORE DEMOLITION.
4. REMOVE AND REPLACE EXISTING BUMPERS.
