Notice is hereby given to all prospective bidders that plans and specifications on the subject
project are modified as hereinafter set forth. This addendum shall be attached to and form a part
of the plans and specifications. All bidders must acknowledge receipt of this addendum on the
Bid Form. In case of difference with previous addenda or communications, this addendum takes
precedence.
It is the responsibility of all bidders to notify all subcontractors from whom they request bids and
from whom they accept bids of all changes contained in this addendum.

The deadline should have been May 2, 2026 (10 days prior to bid date), not May 5, 2026, the pre-
registration period is over.

2. Attendance Sheet
Please sign in on the attendance sheet. Sign-in is a requirement in order to bid
the project.
3. Project Description/Scope
Separating the existing fire alarm system between the 2 schools
4. Access to the site other work will be going during this project (i.e. irrigation repair,
other low voltage work, District using the MPR for meetings & ceremonies, etc.)
5. Single Source Items Fire Alarm (Notifier)
6. Deadlines
Time is of the Essence on this Project. The District will work with the Contractor
on scheduling issues to the greatest extent possible. However, the Contractor
will be ultimately responsible for meeting the required Completion Dates.
7. Milestone Completion Dates
May 5, 2026 – Last day for RFI’s (5 p.m. deadline)
May 6, 2026 – Last Addendum (at the latest)
May 12, 2026 – Bids due at 2:00 pm
May 18, 2026 – Notice of Award (Tentative)
May 18 - 25, 2026 – Bonds & Insurance submitted to the District and Submittals to
the Engineer
May 26, 2026 – Notice to Proceed (Tentative)
Start onsite June 16, 2026
Finish onsite July 31, 2026
8. Worker Conduct
All workers are expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner.
Smoking/vaping of any kind is NOT permitted on school property. There is a
$250 fine for each occurrence.
No foul language allowed on the school properties
Workers will need to wear clothing identifying the company performing the work
onsite
9. Work Hours
Contractor shall work normal working hours as allowed by the City of San Mateo.
The contractor must notify the District 24 hours in advance of work, in writing, on
the weekends.
The contractor must notify the District 72 hours in writing, in advance, of any
utility shut-downs that affect either the Fiesta Gardens ES campus or the
Turnbull Learning Center campus. Utility shut-downs will need to be coordinated
with the District in advance.
10. Labor Compliance Program
This is a prevailing wage job. The contractor is required to follow the CA
Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) requirements. Outlined in Document 00
21 13.
11. Pre-Registration
Contractors (C-10) must be pre-registered on the District’s CUPCAA List, through
Quality Bidders, to bid this project. The Preregistration application period will end
on May 5, 2026.
District will notify Contractors if THEY ARE NOT qualified to bid this project by
May 6, 2026.
12. Underground utilities
Contractor will be responsible for all UG locating services, pot-holing, and verifying
depths.
