Invitation to Bidders
The Montgomery County Commission is seeking bids for the proposed work of road widening, concrete paving,
storm water piping, for the improvement of Stave Mill Road. Bids will be received by the Montgomery County
Clerk's Office until 11:00 AM (prevailing local time) on August 6, 2026, at the office of the Montgomery County
Clerk 211 E Third Street Suite 205, Montgomery City, MO 63361, and at that time will be publicly opened. Sealed
Bids should be delivered to: Montgomery County Clerk 211 E Third Street Suite 205, Montgomery City, MO
63361, and marked "Stave Mill Road Improvement Project". The project will be awarded to the lowest,
responsive, responsible bidder and the Montgomery County Commission reserves the right to waive any
informalities, or to reject any or all bids.

Copies may be obtained at the office of Lewis-Bade, Inc., 101 E. Walton, Warrenton, MO. 63383, upon a non-
refundable payment of $50.00 per hard copy set of drawings and specifications. Alternately, an electronic PDF can
be purchased for $25.00 per electronic set of drawings and specifications. BIDDERS MUST BE REGISTERED
ON BIDDERS LIST HELD BY LEWIS-BADE, INC.
A bid bond in the amount of 5% shall accompany the bid. The awarded contractor will be required to provide
Certificate of Insurance and Performance and Payment bonding for 100% of the amount of the contract at the time
of signing.
Attention of Bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed, and
minimum wage rates to be paid under the contract, Section 3, Segregated Facility, Section 109, E.O. 11246, and
Missouri laws for Prevailing Wage Law (Sec. 290.550 through Sec. 290.580 RSMo). Wage rates as of the date of
solicitation will be applicable throughout the project. This project shall comply with Build America Buy America
Policy.
Funding of this project is from a ARPA (American Rescue Plan Act) Funds and shall comply with ARPA
provisions. Minimum Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) goal is zero.
Missouri Law, 292.675 RSMO, requires any awarded contractor and its subcontractor(s) to provide a ten-hour
Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Construction Safety Program for their on-site employees.
No Bidder may withdraw his bid within Thirty (30) days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
The Montgomery County Commission hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any
contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, business owned and controlled by socially and economically
disadvantaged individuals, will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will
not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, religion, creed, sex, age, ancestry, or national origin in
consideration for an award.
