Overview
Summary

The City is seeking a qualified organization or collaborative team to develop and implement a hands-on, engaging curriculum that helps rising 10th through 12th graders understand how to manage finances, assess opportunities, and pursue financial independence through multiple pathways.

The total contract amount is $95,000, with an implementation period spanning up to two school years. Vendors may propose a one or two-year delivery model, as supported by their scope and budget justification. Funding must be fully expended within the two-year timeline and will not be extended unless otherwise initiated by the City.

Background

The City of St. Petersburg is committed to promoting the wellbeing of its youth through meaningful, relevant, and future-focused education. As part of Mayor Welch’s Pillars for Progress and Principles for Responsible and Accountable Government, the Wealth Builders initiative advances the City’s vision for thriving youth, strengthened families, and economic stability. This program addresses financial wellbeing not merely as a skill, but as a pathway to informed decision-making, long-term stability, and personal confidence.

Wealth Builders advances traditional financial education models by moving beyond basic literacy to teach students how to take action, shape a healthy money mindset, build sustainable habits, and understand the accumulation of knowledge, assets, and wealth.
