Description
Oregon State University intends to contract for the provision of motion-base retrofit services, simulator upgrades, and associated hardware and software integration for the RDS-2000 passenger car driving simulator from FAAC as a sole source because of its ability to meet compatibility requirements of an existing line of equipment. The required work includes retrofitting the RDS-2000 to install a 3-DOF motion base, modifying the center stack to incorporate a touch-screen display, integrating all new hardware with the proprietary RTI software suite (SimCreator 4.0, Fusion 2.0, and SimDriver), and installing a digital instrument panel that ensures continued compatibility with existing experimental databases while maintaining interoperability with OSU’s four RTI simulators. The supplier must also implement updated vehicle dynamics models capable of operating with the new 3-DOF hardware. An entity may appeal this determination in accordance with OSU Standard 03-010, Section 5.17 no later than the closing date indicated on the website. Appeals must be submitted to Procurement, Contracts and Materials Management at procurement@oregonstate.edu by December 11, 2025 at 4:00PM PST.
