The date of availability for this project is September 2, 2026.
The completion date for this project is September 1, 2027.
There is NO MBE/WBE Goal for this project.
The North Carolina Department of Transportation is requesting bids for AST retreatment and pavement
markings on two secondary roads in Alamance County and thirty secondary roads in Orange County.
All quantities are estimates. The Contractor shall furnish labor, equipment and materials.
Contractor's bidding on NCDOT contracts must sign up for the Interested Parties List for each project
they intend to submit a bid. As part of this requirement, Contractors must sign up for the Interested
Parties List no later than one business day prior to the Letting Date.
The North Carolina Department of Transportation, in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil
Rights of 1964 (78 Stat. 252) and the Regulations of the Department of Transportation (49 C.F.R., Part 21),
issued pursuant to such act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that the contract entered
into pursuant to this notice will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder without discrimination on the
grounds of sex, race, color, or national origin.
BID OPENING
Electronic bids must be received in Bid Express, by 2:00 on August 6, 2026. Bids will be opened and publicly
read at NCDOT Division 7 Office, 1584 Yanceyville Street, Greensboro, NC at the above date, shortly after
the time that the bids submissions are due. The As-Read Bids Summaries will be posted within 48 hours of
the bid opening. Results will not be provided by any other means than posting to the website.
The public letting will be held via conference call. You may join the conference call just prior to 2:00 pm

Note: It takes a few minutes for Division staff to download the electronic bids before those can be read. The
download does not start until 2:00 PM on the day of the letting.

The contract proposal, plans and supplemental project information are available online at:

The printing of all bid-related documents, including the proposal, plans and any supplemental project
information shall be the responsibility of the bidder. Division 7 no longer provides hard copies of bid
documents.
PREQUALIFYING TO BID
All prospective bidders shall be prequalified with the Department of Transportation prior to submitting a bid.
Contractors who are not prequalified may obtain information and forms for prequalifying from the Contractual
Services Unit, Division of Highways, Department of Transportation, 1509 Mail Service Center, Raleigh, NC.
All required prequalification statements and documents shall be filed with the Contractual Services Unit at
least four weeks prior to the date of opening bids.
