Description View Changes

The Department of Homeland Security, Federal Emergency Management Agency, Region 6, intends to award a sole-source contract to Schneider Electric IT Corporation for replacement batteries and associated services for an existing Schneider Electric UPS system.

The existing system is a Schneider Electric Galaxy VM 160 kVA UPS Single 480-208 V, 65kAIC. The requirement is to replace aging batteries in the existing UPS system while maintaining compatibility, warranty, and maintenance coverage. Schneider Electric is the manufacturer and current maintenance provider for the UPS system. FEMA has determined that Schneider Electric is the only known source capable of meeting the requirement without affecting system compatibility or warranty/maintenance coverage.

A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government. This pre-solicitation notice serves as notice to sole source Schneider Electric IT Corporation.
