Town of Cohocton - Water System Improvements
This project generally involves the; replacement +/- 3,140 LF of existing 8” watermain along Wayland St (SR21) with 8” PVC; installation of +/- 1,810 LF of 8" watermain along Beecher Street (CR39A) with 8" PVC and HDPE; installation of +/- 730 LF of 10” PVC and HDPE water main along University Ave (CR39); and +/- 1,170 LF of 8" PVC and HDPE along Maple Ave. The watermain work also includes new ancillary hydrants, main line valves, water services, and connections to all side streets. This project also includes replacement of three pressure reducing valve pits with a small PRV building. Also, the project includes re-sealing and cleaning the water storage tank and drainage improvements at the tank site. Also, the project includes construction of a new chlorine storage building adjacent to the existing well house, and well house improvements for the addition of orthophosphate for hardness control and other miscellaneous improvements.
