Enterprise Point of Sale (POS) Solution

This document outlines the functional requirements for the proposed Enterprise Point of Sale (POS) Solution at RTD. The project seeks to replace the current POS system with a more robust and scalable solution that meets operational needs across physical sales outlets, the RTD web store, and back-office processing.

The current POS environment presents several limitations, including a $50,000 invoice cap, constrained offline transaction capabilities, and limited audit visibility for both financial and non-financial activities, as well as the flexibility needed to manage special fare programs, configurable tax structures, and employer-issued transportation benefits.
