Auditing Services
Fiscal Years Ending June 30, 2026, June 30, 2027, and June 30, 2028
The Town of Winchendon invites qualified Certified Public Accounting firms, licensed to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, to submit proposals to audit the Town's financial statements for the fiscal years ending June 30, 2026, 2027, and 2028. Included in the engagement is an audit of the Winchendon Redevelopment Authority, Special Revenue and Trust funds, and testing of the School End of Year Report as required by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education Compliance Supplement. Further, the Town requests that the proposal include hourly rates for forensic audit services that the Town may request for any specific financial account or fund for which illegalities, irregularities, poor accounting practices or mismanagement is identified or suspected in the course of the audit.
Copies of the RFP will be available in the Town Manager’s Office, Suite 1, Town Hall, 109 Front St. Winchendon, MA 01475.
The deadline for the receipt of sealed proposals is Monday August 31,2026 at 4:00 p.m. Each proposal shall consist of two sealed envelopes. One envelope shall include the proposal and be clearly marked on the outside as "Audit Proposal". The second envelope shall include the cost proposal and be clearly marked "Audit Bid". Proposals are to be addressed to Michele Comeau Audit Committee Vice Chair, Town of Winchendon, 109 Front St. Winchendon, MA 01475. Late
proposals will not be opened.
