Description


Sealed Bids for the construction of the Sanitary Sewer Manhole Repair will be received, by City of Ashburn, at City Hall of Ashburn, 259 East Washington Avenue, Ashburn, GA 31714, until 11:00 A.M., Friday, November 1, 2024, local time, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. No bid may be withdrawn after the closing time for receipt of bids for a period of sixty (60) days. The work to be done shall consist of furnishing all labor, materials and equipment necessary to perform the proposed Sanitary Sewer Manhole Repair as shown on the construction drawings. In general, construction consists of raising 4 manholes above flood prone area and installing bolt down ring & covers. Work will involve clearing of 2000 liner linear feet of sanitary sewer easement (20 feet width), and dewatering area above beaver pond and all associated measures for the complete project. Time allotted for completion of work is 60 consecutive calendar days to substantial completion. Work shall be complete and ready for contract closeout with 74 consecutive calendar days. All work shall be completed in accordance with the plans and specifications. The work will be awarded in one (1) Contract. Copies of Bidding Documents for bidding purposes can be obtained from Watkins & Associates, L.L.C., 1606 Whiddon Mill Road, Tifton, Georgia 31793, Phone: (229) 388-8823, (Office of the Engineer) upon payment of $300.00 for each set (non-refundable). Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the City Hall of Ashburn, 259 East Washington Avenue, Ashburn, GA 31714 or at Watkins & Associates, LLC on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8 A.M. and 5 P.M. Upon request and receipt of the document payment indicated above, Watkins & Associates, LLC will transmit the Bidding Documents via delivery service. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any.
