This project, located in Solomons, Calvert County, Maryland provides a stream stabilization design over exposed water and sewer pipelines, as authorized by the Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE) in response to an emergency situation. This project will enhance hydraulic stability within the stream while ensuring the protection of underlying infrastructure
The project includes stabilizing the existing down-cutting stream using a threshold channel design with step-pools, and utility protection. The channel design includes bed and bank stabilization.
