North Carolina State University is seeking qualification statements from general contractors for the B121 Burlington Lab Renovation project located on North Campus. This project renovates 4,163 square feet of vacated shop space in the basement into wet-research labs in Burlington Labs (built 1953, with a 1973 addition) to accommodate three new faculty researchers. The project includes architectural, mechanical, electrical and plumbing scope.

To qualify, the contractor must have a general contractor’s license in the State of North Carolina as well as applicable bonding requirements. The contractor must show comparable work experience, both in complexity and dollar value, and preferably in a university campus environment, to the scope of work outlined above.

To be considered, the contractor must obtain an application package from the NC State University Project Manager and submit a fully completed qualification document by May 8, 2026 to Bob Cwikla, project manager, dc_formal_prequal@ncsu.edu

No hard copies will be accepted. Application packages will be available electronically after April 13, 2026. Please contact the project manager via email (preferred) or phone to request a package or download it from the following link:
