PRE-BID CONFERENCE:

For all prospective offerors is scheduled for 10:00 AM on April 9, 2025, at 22 Randolph Street,

Thomasville, North Carolina 27360. Attendance at this conference is a prerequisite for consideration of

an offeror's proposal. Copies of the bid package will be available at the pre-bid conference. Prospective

offerors are encouraged to submit written questions in advance. In the event the County is closed due to

inclement weather, this meeting will take place on the next business day.

It is the offeror's responsibility to assure that all addenda have been reviewed.

This is a roof replacement for the 22 Randolph Street, Thomasville, North Carolina 27360. In general, the

scope of work includes replacement of the existing Thermoplastic-Polyolefin roof system with a fully adhered

thermoplastic (PVC) roof system on an approximate 7,200 square feet of roof area.

Special Requirements:
Each bid shall be accompanied by a deposit of cash or a certified check drawn on a bank or trust company insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation in an amount equal to not less than five percent (5%) of the gross amount of the bid. In lieu thereof, such Bidder may file a bid bond in the above amount executed in accordance with and conditioned as prescribed by GS 143-129, as amended by Chapter 1104 of the North Carolina Public Laws of 1951. If the successful Bidder fails to execute the contract within ten (10) days after award, the above
deposit will be retained by the Owner on the bid bond executed on liquidated damages. Form of Bid Bond shall be AIA Document A310, current version.
Miscellaneous:
A Performance Bond and Payment Bond in the amount of the contract is required. Bidders shall
include the cost of providing Performance Bond and Payment Bond in the Base Bid. The Bidder shall
deliver the required bonds to the Owner not later than three days following the date of execution
of the Contract. The bonds shall be written on AIA Documents A312, current version. Both bonds
shall be written in the amount of the Contract Sum. The bonds shall be dated on or after the date
of the Contract. The Bidder shall require the attorney-in-fact who executes the required bonds on
behalf of the surety, authorized to do business in the State of North Carolina, to affix thereto a
certified and current copy of the power of attorney.
