IFB - 260006927 - RGW Mill and Overlay Paving Contract

The City of Richmond, Virginia, on behalf of the Richmond Gas Works (“RGW”), seeks bids from qualified firms to provide general contracting services for the construction of certain Capital Improvement Program mill and overlay projects (the “Project”). The Project will entail utility adjustments, sweep cleaning, and all necessary preparation and finish work, including but not limited to patching, sidewalk repair, handicap ramps, pavement marking, and restoration (the “Work”).

The City operates a natural gas utility that extends beyond City limits, into the neighboring counties of Goochland, Henrico, Hanover, and Chesterfield, VA. RGW currently has several natural gas capital improvement projects under construction in each of these localities that require permanent asphalt restoration.

RGW anticipates approximately 100,000 SY per year of mill and overlay work associated with these projects, although the totals may be more or less than anticipated. RGW intends to utilize the ensuing Contract predominantly within the aforementioned counties, rather than within the City limits.
