Project Description: Ada County (“County”) is seeking the submission of proposals for the purpose of selecting a qualified consultant (“Consultant”) to facilitate a required update of its Multi-Hazard Mitigation Plan (MHMP) and to assist in integrating the updated MHMP with other hazard mitigation plans and programs in place (the “Project”). As part of its duties, the Consultant will assist in identifying and analyzing the benefits and costs of potential mitigation projects. The Consultant must have proven specialized professional expertise in the field of hazard mitigation planning and application, as well as familiarity with County planning areas and its specific risk exposures. The Consultant will work closely with Ada County Emergency Management and Community Resilience (EMCR) Staff to accomplish its required tasks. The Project is anticipated to start in January of 2026 and conclude no later than August of 2027. The amount of funding available for a contract with Consultant is limited to no more than $90,000. It is anticipated that payments to Consultant will be made in periodic installments, with an initial installment made upon contract signing, and subsequent payments tied to work phase completion; see Exhibit B Consulting Services Agreement for more details. The County appreciates your interest and participation in this process.
