Project Description: NOTICE TO BIDDERS
DARBYTOWNSHIP
Sealed bids will be received by Darby Township, 21 Bartram Avenue, Glenolden, PA 19036, until 10:00 AM, local time, on April 29, 2025 for the Studevan Plaza Improvements. All bids will be publicly read aloud at the Workshop Session Meeting on May 12, 2025, at 7:00 PM. Major items include Football field and Baseball field reconstruction, field drainage, 1,155 square yards of pervious asphalt path, 6 benches with concrete pads, and various other park improvements.
All Bid Documents, Construction Plans and Specifications are available online via the PennBid Bonfire Program at www.PennBid.net at no cost to prospective bidders. The successful bidder, who is awarded the contract, will be required to pay PennBid Program a fee of 1/3 of 1% of the contract award value. There is a minimum award fee of $100.00 and a maximum of $5,000.00. Bidders must confirm the fees associated with bidding through PennBid and the successful bidder is responsible for the fees associated with the awarded bid.
A certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid, made payable to Darby Township, must accompany each bid.
Attention of Bidders is called to all of the requirements contained in this bid package, particularly to the PA Prevailing Wage Rates, Public Works Employment Verification Act, various insurance requirements, various equal opportunity provisions, and the requirements for a payment bond and performance bond for 100% of the contract price and a one year maintenance bond for 10% of the contract price.
Darby Township reserves the right to reject any or all bids thereof, and the right to waive any technicalities, defects, errors or omissions in any or all of the bids which they deem are in the best interest of the Township.
