DESCRIPTION OF WORK
A. Summary of Work: The Project consists of roofing replacements at six buildings, including
all improvements as indicated on the drawings and specifications. Work generally
includes, but is not limited to, the following:
1. Roof Work: Roof replacement and related work, including, but not limited to, the
following:
a. Demolition and removal of existing roofing systems and related accessories.
b. Selective demolition of roof fascia as required to accommodate new gutters
and vented soffits.
c. Selective replacement of roof sheathing where required.
d. Installation of new asphalt shingle roofing and associated flashing.
e. Installation of new EPDM roofing systems and edge metal flashing.
f. Installation of new gutter and downspout drainage systems.
g. Installation of new soffit vents.
2. Wall Work: Building envelope improvements, including, but not limited to, the
following:
a. Demolition and removal of existing wall panels, trim, and related materials.
b. Demolition and removal of existing translucent insulated windows at
dormers.
c. Selective demolition of existing brake metal cladding and related materials.
d. Selective replacement of wall sheathing where required.
e. Selective replacement of exterior trim.
f. Installation of new aluminum metal cladding.
g. Installation of new insulated translucent windows.
h. Installation of new air and vapor barrier system over wall sheathing.
i. Installation of new pre-finished fiber cement board panel system with
extruded aluminum trims including fasteners.
3. Site Restoration:
a. The Work includes repair and restoration of existing landscaping and site
features disturbed by construction, as required to return the premises to the
condition existing prior to the start of construction.
