Request 1 - Grounds Maintenance

1. Introduction
Vidalia City Schools is soliciting sealed proposals from qualified vendors to provide
comprehensive grounds maintenance services.
Contract Term: One (1) year with annual renewal options.
Contract Manager: Russell Burkett, Director of Plant Operations.
2. Scope of Services - Performance Expectations
Maintain all turf areas through routine mowing
Edge sidewalks, curbs, and paved surfaces.
Apply post emergent herbicides as needed to control and/or eradicate Bahia grass in all turf
areas
String trim around obstacles.
Maintain weed-free landscape beds.
Trim shrubs and hedges.
Install mulch or pine straw as requested.
Leaf removal and seasonal cleanup.
Vegetation control in cracks and fence lines.
Adhere to all safety requirements.
3. Mandatory Site Visit
A mandatory site visit is required.
Any Contractor who intends to submit a Proposal is required to attend a Mandatory
Pre-Proposal Meeting, which will be held on April 16, 2026 at 9:00a.m. at 1001 North
Street West, Vidalia, GA 30474
Vendors are responsible for verifying all measurements and site conditions.
