RFP 2026-0500-0013 Mediation Services for Special Education

The Department of Education and Early Development, Division of Innovation and Education Excellence – Special Education Unit, is soliciting proposals for a contractor to provide mediation and facilitated IEPs services for the state’s Department of Education and Early Development, Student Learning, Special Education Section.

Under the requirements of the lndividuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), the USDOE Office of Special Education Programs and the DEED's acceptance of Title Vl-B and Section 619 funding requires the State to conduct mediation activities. The Special Education unit requires a contract for mediation and facilitated IEP services. These activities will also require the contractor to provide advertising to parents and districts. In addition, this contract requires specific knowledge of mediation along with IDEA laws and regulations related to facilitating IEPs.
