NOTIFICATION OF INTENT TO LIMIT SOURCES- SYSMEX MAINTENANCE

Notice of Intent to Sole-Source: SYSMEX AMERICA INC HEMATOLOGY ANALYZER SERVICE AGREEMENT

This announcement constituts a Notice of Proposed Contract Action. DHA Central Market Contracting Division intends to award a blanket purchase agreement to SYSMEX AMERICA INC to provide the maintenance of Sysmex hematology analyzers with all reagants, control and calaboration materials as required to perform full services at the 27th Special Operations Medical Group (MDG), Cannon AFB, Evans Army Community Hospital, the 10th Medical Group, the USAFA Cadet Clinic, and the 21st Medical Group at Peterson AFB. Sysmex America Inc. is the sole manufacturer of the Sysmex line of hematology analyzers as well as the reagents and supplies used by those systems in the United States. These items are proprietary to Sysmex America Inc. Sysmex service engineers and individuals trained under the Sysmex biomedical engineer training program are trained and specifically certified by Sysmex to service Sysmex equipment. There are no other authorized providers for the service of the Sysmex analyzers.

THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE OFFERS and a solicitation will not be issued. All responsible sources may submit a quote which shall be considered. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition of this requirement would be advantageous to the Government. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. If no affirmative written response is received, the award will be made without further notice. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.
