Meredith Court Project

Project Description: The Borough of Modena will receive bids from qualified demolition contractors for the Meredith
Court Project. All documents and solicitation details are available at no cost through PennBid
electronic Bidding service (www.PennBid.net). All bids must be submitted electronically before
5:00 PM, EST on June 5, 2026.
Each Bid must be submitted accompanied by a Bid Guarantee in the amount of Ten Percent (10%)
of the total bid amount. The Bid Guarantee must be in the form of Cash, Bid Bond, Bank Check,
Cashier’s Check or Treasurer’s Check, drawn to the order of the Borough of Modena. The proceeds
thereof will be retained by the Borough of Modena as liquidated damages if the successful bidder
fails to execute this Contract as set forth in the attached Proposal, General Conditions, Special
Provisions, Demolition Drawings, and Specifications. A bidder’s personal check or non-certified
corporate check is not an acceptable form of bid security. The surety firm must be licensed to do
business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. A copy of the bid guarantee must be scanned and
submitted electronically via the PennBid website.
Bid packages consisting of the Instructions to Bidders, Proposal Form, General Conditions,
Demolition Drawings, and Standard Specifications may be obtained at no cost on PennBid at
https://pennbid.bonfirehub.com.
All workmen performing work on this project shall be paid the general minimum Prevailing Wage
Rates supplied herein, as determined by the Secretary of the Pennsylvania Department of Labor
and Industry, in accordance with the Regulations for Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act.
A mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held at the site on May 12, 2026 at 10:00 AM.
Prospective bidders are encouraged to have any subcontractors at the walkthrough in the event
they would like access to the site. Questions about this Project and the bidding and contract
requirements shall be submitted through the PennBid “Ask A Question” tab by May 22, 2026
at 5:00 PM.

The Borough of Modena reserves the right to reject any and all bids or parts thereof and to
determine whether the quality and type of equipment and/or service to be furnished meet
the requirements for which it was intended. In the best interests of the Borough, the Borough
Council further reserve the right to insist or waive any technicalities required and to consider
competency and responsibility of the bidder before the award of the Contract, and award it
accordingly
