NOTICE TO BIDDERS
Sealed bids will be received by the Board of County Commissioners of Greene County,
Ohio, 35 Greene Street, Xenia, Ohio 45385, until 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 31, 2026, for the
Dayton-Xenia and Valley Springs Raw Water Line Butterfly Valves Installation Project No.
2601WA, for the Greene County Sanitary Engineering Department. At such time the bids will be
opened and read aloud. All bids shall be submitted in accordance with the requirements of the
Instructions to Bidders. This legal advertisement is also published on the Greene County Board
of County Commissioners website, http://www.greenecountyohio.gov/bids.aspx.
This project includes the removal of existing 24” butterfly valves, the installation of 24”
butterfly valves, and the installation of 24” restrained solid sleeves along the raw water line of
Dayton-Xenia Road and the Valley Springs Wellfield of the Greene County Sanitary Engineering
Department. Mill and finish course, full depth asphalt replacement, seeding of disturbed areas, and
temporary traffic control are also included in the project scope. The project is located in
Beavercreek Township, Greene County, Ohio.
Copies of the Plans and Specifications, the estimated quantities of the items of work, the
proposal and contract forms can be downloaded at the Bid Express website

Engineering Department, 667 Dayton-Xenia Road, Xenia, Ohio 45385.
A non-mandatory Prebid Meeting will be held at 10:00 a.m. on March 24, 2026, at 667
Dayton-Xenia Road, Xenia, OH 45385.
ENGINEER’S ESTIMATE – $325,000

or if submitted via hard copy the Bids shall be enclosed in a sealed envelope identified as “Dayton-
Xenia and Valley Springs Raw Water Line Butterfly Valves Installation Project No. 2601WA”
and must have full name and address of the Bidder on the envelope.
The Board of County Commissioners reserve the rights defined in the Instructions to
Bidders, including, but not limited to the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive any
irregularities of Bids, should same be to the advantage of the County.
