Description:

Proposal Opening

Proposals will be opened and read aloud at the Greene County Board of Commissioners Office, Suite 201. Proposals received after the stated time will not be accepted. The OWNER of the project is Greene County. The Engineer for the project is Holt Consulting Company, LLC.

Scope of Work

The bid schedules provided below have been compiled into one set of bid documents. The Contractor must submit a bid on the Base Bid, Additive Bid No. 1, and Additive Bid No. 2. The bids will be evaluated for the lowest responsive bidder.

Base Bid

The Base Bid includes the removal of two existing taxiway connectors and the construction of a new taxiway connector. The Base Bid also includes an expansion of the existing terminal apron. Additional work items for the Base Bid include grading, minor drainage improvements, signing and lighting, pavement construction, pavement marking, grassing, and erosion control.

Additive Bid No. 1

Additive Bid No. 1 includes taxiway safety improvements to the existing taxiway geometry. The taxiway safety improvements include widening the existing taxiway geometry. Additional work items for Additive Bid No. 1 include minor grading, pavement marking, and erosion control.

Additive Bid No. 2

Additive Bid No. 2 includes the pavement rejuvenation of terminal apron as well as Taxiway A. Additional work items for Additive Bid No. 2 include pavement marking.

Bidding and Contract Documents will be ready for distribution to contractors on Wednesday, April 23, 2025.

Special Requirements:

Bid security in the form of a bid bond, made payable to Greene County, Georgia, equal to five (5) percent of the total bid is required. Contract security in the form of 100% Performance and Payment Bonds will be required. No bid may be withdrawn after closing time for the receipt of proposals for a period of One Hundred and Twenty (120) days. A Notice-of-Award for the Contract will be issued once a successful bidder has been determined and funding has been secured.
