This bid includes the following Work:

Improvements to the JCL Cedar Roe restrooms will improve ADA compliance, cleanability, and outdated infrastructure. The work involves new plumbing, flooring, tile, drywall, electrical, and lighting. The scope includes all materials, labor, equipment, supervision, and any other items necessary to complete the Work.

A Non-Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held at the above time, at the Johnson County Library Cedar Roe Branch located at 5120 Cedar Street, Roeland Park, Kansas 66205. Attendance is encouraged for those interested in this Project. Please gather near the front entrance.

Technical questions and requests for clarification shall be submitted electronically via IonWave no later than 5:00PM CT on January 13, 2026, to allow adequate time to issue an addendum, if needed.

BID BOND: Bidders shall submit with their bid a bid bond issued by a surety company licensed to do business in the State of Kansas in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total amount of their bid. Said guarantee shall be made payable to the Board of Directors of the Johnson County Library.

No bid may be withdrawn within a period of sixty (60) days from the date of the bid opening.

The County reserves the right to award the contract to the lowest and best, responsive and responsible bidder for the Work covered by the base bid and to reject any or all bids and to waive irregularities and informalities in any bid submitted.

No bidder shall in any way, directly or indirectly, discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment or any other person because of age, race, color, disability, sex, national origin or religious creed, or other circumstance prohibited by federal state or local law, rule or regulation.
