Description:

CLASS 4 AIRCRAFT RESCUE AND FIREFIGHTING (ARFF) VEHICLE. The Unified

Government of Athens-Clarke County is requesting bids for the supply of an FAA Class 4 Aircraft

Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) Vehicle. The vehicle is intended to carry rescue and firefighting

equipment and personnel for the purpose of rescuing aircraft passengers, preventing aircraft fire

loss and combating fires in aircraft.

Proposed vehicles must be capable of providing 1500 gallons of water/aqueous film forming foam

(AFFF) fire suppression, with the option of an additional supply of a 450 lb potassium bicarbonate

based dry chemical (PPK) as a complimentary system only.
