Summary:PURPOSE The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to solicit sealed proposals from
qualified professional engineering firms and to establish a contract(s) for an inital period of
one (1) year with an op??on for four (4) additional one-year extensions, through competitive
negotiation to expedite the planning and design for a broad range of projects.

- I1_1. PROPOSED PROJECT DESCRIPTIONS. Tenta??ve projects include, but are not limited to the design and prepara??on of bid specifica??ons for: a. Development of a study of existing systems, and design, permitting, and contract administration of projects from bidding through completion. Consulting and reporting to Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT), Virginia Department of Environmental Quality (VDEQ), and Virginia Department of Health (VDH) as well as other governmental agencies as may be required. b. Provide expertise in stormwater analysis and design to assist Town with road management. c. Provide expertise in sanitary system analysis, water system analysis and modeling, tank and waterline troubleshooting and analysis to assist staff in the maintenance and operation of the water/sewer system. d. The Contractor shall consult with the Town on land development, land use and best management practices.
