NOTICE TO BIDDERS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the Undersigned, on behalf of the Town of Westport Town Clerk, will accept sealed bids at the Town of Westport Town Hall until 2:00 PM on September 23, 2025, for the Lee Park Hoisington Brook Bed and Bank Repair Project.
Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprises (M/WBE) businesses are strongly encouraged to participate in this state funded project. The Town of Westport is an equal opportunity employer.
The bids shall be opened and read aloud on September 23, 2025, at 2:00 PM at the Town of Westport, Town Hall, 22 Champlain Ave., Westport, NY 12993. The bid documents are available for download from the NYS Contract Reporter website: https://www.nyscr.ny.gov/contracts.cfm. Bid submissions may be mailed or delivered to: Town of Westport, Town Hall, 22 Champlain Ave., Westport, NY, 12993.
All bids submitted in response to this notice shall be marked “SEALED BID- Lee Park Hoisington Brook Bed and Bank Repair Project” clearly on the outside of the envelope with the bidder’s name and address. Each bid must be prepared in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and must be accompanied by Bid Security in the form of a certified check, bank check, or bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid. Or the Contractor can opt to provide a $50,000 cash deposit to the Town of Westport in lieu of a Bid Bond. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond in the statutory form of public bonds required by Section 137 of the State Finance Law, each for one hundred percent (100%) of the amount of the Contract. The Town reserves the right to reject any or all bids, and advertise for new bids, if in its opinion the best interest of the Town will hereby be promoted. The Town expressly reserves the right to waive any irregularities in or to accept any bid or to reject any and all bids or to award any or all items. No bidder may withdraw his/her bid within twenty-five (25) days after the actual date of the bid opening.
