Introduction
The California State University (CSU) Office of the Chancellor is looking for interested C-16 Fire Protection Contractors to provide all labor, materials, equipment, and services necessary to relocate two (2) fire sprinkler valves. The scope of work includes any required testing of the existing fire pumps to ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards.
Scope of Work
The Contractor shall furnish all prevailing wage labor, materials, tools, equipment, and supervision required to relocate two (2) fire sprinkler valves. Work shall include full drainage of the affected fire protection line(s), installation of extension arms, fittings, and all associated components necessary to complete the relocation, followed by proper sealing, reconnection, hydrostatic testing, and restoration of the system to full operational status. All work shall be performed in accordance with NFPA standards, California Fire Code, CSU Office of Fire Safety requirements, and all applicable state and local regulations. The Contractor shall assess the existing fire pumps to confirm operational integrity before and after completion of valve relocation. Contractor shall perform all required acceptance testing and inspections to verify compliance. Coordination with CSU Facilities Management and the Office of Fire Safety is required at all stages of the project to minimize disruption to campus operations. Upon completion, the Contractor shall submit comprehensive documentation, including test results, inspection reports, certifications, and final approvals, for CSU records.
Contractor Requirements
¿ Valid California Contractor¿s License (C-16 Fire Protection Contractor or equivalent).
¿ Proof of insurance and bonding capacity.
¿ Compliance with CSU and OSHA safety requirements.
