(Mason City Administration Building) 428 43rd Street SW Mason City, IA 50401 Contract Award The Contractor will be awarded a one (1) year contract with an option to renew for ( five ) additional years in twelve (12) month increments. It is the intent of the Iowa DOT to award the contract to the responsible contractor whose submitted quote is the most advantageous to the Iowa DOT, cost and other factors considered. Other factors include but are not limited to: meeting or exceeding mandatory requirements, proposed staffing, and meeting required time schedule. Other factors may also include a comprehensive review of bidders past work performance, and work capacity. ALL LINES ARE TIED AND ARE REQUIRED TO BE BID TO BE CONSIDERED. DOT Estimated Start Date: On or before February 15, 2025 Questions: Until the contract is awarded the sole point of contact for this project is Jerrod Okland (see bid contract information). Any and all questions related to this project are to be submitted to Jerrod Okland in writing preferable through the Ionwave Bid system. (See the cut off period for question submissions) Please see the Attachment Tab with Floor Plan - Appendix B Pre-Bid/Site Visit: January 22, 2025 It is highly recommended that prospective bidders on these projects shall visit the job site prior to submitting a quotation. Pre-Bid/Site Visit Details: Date: January 22, 2025 Time: 10:00AM CST Location: 428 43rd Street SW, Mason City, IA 50401 Contact for Pre-Bid/Site Visit: Jerrod Okland, Interested Bidders in attending must contact Jerrod Okland at Jerrod.Okland@iowadot.us or by phone at 515-239-1118 no later than January 23, 2025. No considerations or revision in the contract price or scope of the project will be considered by the Iowa DOT for any item which could have been revealed by a thorough on-site inspection and examination. The DOT highly recommends all contractors interested in this project attend the Prebid/site visit meeting. Prior to bidding to ensure you have a good understanding of the project, size, and the opportunity to ask questions. Pre-Bid/Site Visit Conference The purpose of the Pre-Bid conference is to discuss with prospective Bidders the work to be performed and allow prospective Bidders an opportunity to ask questions regarding the RFB. Verbal discussions at the Pre-Bid conference shall not be considered part of the RFB unless confirmed in writing by the Iowa DOT and incorporated into this RFB. The conference may be recorded. Questions asked at the conference that cannot be adequately answered during the conference may be deferred. A copy of the questions and answers will be posted on the DOT website for viewing.
