Scrap Metal/White Goods Recycling Revenue Contract

The County of Orange, OC Waste & Recycling , (hereinafter referred to as County) is requesting competitive bids from qualified vendors (hereinafter referred to as Bidder) for Scrap Metal/White Goods Recycling Revenue Contract . The awarded Contract, (hereinafter referred to as Contract) will be between the County and awarded Bidder, (hereinafter referred to as Contractor) in accordance with the model contract terms, conditions and scope of work. This is a fully electronic solicitation – only electronic bids submitted through the County’s online bidding system will be allowed; no other form of bid submittals will be accepted. Prior to submitting a bid, Bidders are advised to carefully read the instructions below, including the model contract and any solicitation attachments and/or exhibits.

Contractor shall provide bin/container(s) (listed in Section III) for the storage of scrap metal and white goods (listed in Section V) at Orange County Landfill locations (listed in Section VI), transportation of material to a recycling facility (listed in Section IV), and recycling of material for the County.

For the purposes of this Contract, scrap metal shall be defined as any discarded metal item or material from whatever substance, that may be reclaimed through melting and refining, and the condition of which in its present form may make it unsuitable for any other use.

For the purpose of this Contract, white goods shall be defined as any inoperative and/or discarded domestic/commercial appliance item that materials may be reclaimed through extraction for recycling.
