Project Title: Lawrence Community Shelter Interior Remodel
Location: 3655 E. 25th Street, Lawrence, KS 66046
The City of Lawrence (“City”) invites qualified contractors to submit bids for an interior remodel project at the Lawrence Community Shelter. The work shall be completed in accordance with the attached plans and specifications.
Bids must include all costs associated with:
Labor and materials
Proper waste disposal
Daily site cleanup
Project management
All required permits and fees
Funding and Compliance:
This project is funded through a HUD Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and is subject to Federal requirements, including but not limited to:
Prevailing wages under the Davis-Bacon Act
Section 3 requirements of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968 (24 CFR Part 75)
Award:
Bid Analysis and award shall be made to bidder(s) whose bid(s) are deemed Overall Best Value and meets or exceeds the specifications. The award will be contingent upon an executed contract with Lawrence Community Shelter.

Their mission statement emphasizes providing “safe shelter and comprehensive support services and programs that provide a path to a positive future for people experiencing homelessness and for people who are at risk of homelessness.”
