Project Description: Patrick O’Brien will accept bids for the construction of a remodel of the third floor of the American Fork Police Station. The existing third floor has a total area of 12,812 SF, of which 9,596 SF is included in this project scope. The building footprint and site will remain unchanged.
The following existing third-floor spaces will remain unchanged:
-Two individual restrooms at the northwest corner
-One media storage room at the northwest corner
-One air shaft at the northwest corner
-One electrical room at the northwest corner
-Existing secure vest area and air shaft at the east side
-Existing stairs and Elevator #3 at the northeast corner
-Existing stairs at the southeast corner
-Existing restrooms, stairs, and Elevator #1 at the southwest corner
The contractor will be responsible for all demolition, new walls framing, gypsum drywall, insulation, floor covering, painting, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, doors, windows and all other work required to complete the project.
Pre-Qualifications Required:
1. Demonstrated performance history, including experience with remodel and tenant improvement (TI) projects of similar scope.
2. Ability to obtain bonding up to $2 million.
3. Proof of insurance.
4. Background checks for all employees who will work within secured areas, including proof of required security clearance.
5. A minimum of three (3) references.
6. Disclosure of any past claims made by or against the organization related to projects they have worked on
Following are the conditions of the project:
1. Property damage liability insurance shall be equal to the contract sum.
2. Proof of ability to complete a project of this size.
Criteria for selecting winning General Contractor bid:
1. Low net cost of contract.
2. Earliest likely completion date.
