Furnish and Install Brand Name Rite Heating Boiler, Model #450 WG – JBSA Lackland

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation is to Furnish and install one (1) brand name Rite Boiler, Model 450 WG, including removal and disposal of the existing unit and all incidental labor and materials necessary to deliver a fully operational system, in accordance

with the Statement of Work (SOW).

Overview: Building 10504 is a four-story dormitory facility built in 2006, located at Lackland. The gross square footage of the facility is approximately 165,841 square feet (SF). The facility’s Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) system consists of 264 Fan Coil Units (FCUs) that serve dormitory rooms, along with four (4) Variable Air Volume (VAV), four (4) Air Handling Units (AHUs) and 29 associated terminal units that provide heating and cooling to the building’s common areas. Additionally, three Outside Air Units (OAUs), each equipped with an energy recovery wheel, are located on the attic level and provide conditioned outside air to improve ventilation and indoor air quality. The HVAC system is supported by a 250-ton air-cooled chiller that supplies chilled water to the FCUs, AHUs, and OAUs. Heating is provided by a 4,500 MBH (Milli-BTU per Hour) gas-fired boiler that distributes hot water throughout the building and must be replaced.
