Description:
This is a notice of intent, not a request for a quotation. A solicitation document will not be issued and quotations will not be requested.
The National Institutes of Health (NIH) intends to award a fixed price purchase order to the American Hospital Association, located at 155 N Wacker Dr. STE 400, Chicago, IL 60606, on a firm fixed price sole source award basis to pay for 2025 annual membership dues.
The American Hospital Association (AHA) is the national organization that represents and serves all types of
hospitals, health care networks, and their patient communities. The AHA ensures that everyone realizes the critical role
that hospitals play in communities across the country. It acts as a conduit through which hospitals share best practices
and tap into resources and initiatives that advance quality and safety and improve performance· through it's Health
Research & Educational Trust and it's Hospitals in Pursuit of Excellence initiative. They work with the hospitals to
transform the health care delivery system, preparing the field for changes on the horizon, as well as providing thought
leadership on changes to come. As a member of this organization the NIH Clinical Center benefits from all of it's
resources. This is the only organization the provides these services.
This acquisition is being conducted using policies unique to the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13 – Simplified Acquisition Procedures, Subpart 13.106-1(b)(1), For purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold (SAT), contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstance of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available. Contracts awarded using FAR Part 13-Simplified Acquisition Procedures are exempt from the requirements of FAR Part 6-Competition Requirements.
Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in response to this posting. The determination by the Government not to compete the proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
